About Me

The Human Behind the Work

With a naturally analytical and empathetic approach, I help clients move beyond understanding their challenges to creating lasting emotional change. My work combines evidence-based therapy with trauma-informed, nervous system-focused techniques, including the Havening Technique®, to address deeply rooted patterns. Personal experience has reinforced my belief that true healing often requires more than traditional talk therapy. I provide a compassionate, collaborative space where clients can safely process, heal, and move forward. If you’re ready to begin your healing journey, I offer a free 15-minute consultation to explore whether we’re the right fit.

Compassion

Meet yourself with curiosity instead of judgment.

Connection

Strengthen your relationship with yourself and others.

Growth

Create lasting change through deeper understanding

Beyond the Diagnosis

Comprehensive, Nervous-System-Informed Care

Anxiety & Chronic Stress

Anxiety isn't just excessive worry — it's often a nervous system stuck on high alert: racing thoughts, tension, restlessness, or a constant sense of dread. We combine top-down strategies with bottom-up nervous system work so your body learns it's safe again.

Depression

Depression isn't just sadness, it can feel like exhaustion, or disconnection from yourself and the world around you. We gently explore what's underneath, helping you reconnect with your emotions, restore hope, and regain a greater sense of balance.

Trauma

Understanding your reactions doesn't always change them. We work with developmental trauma, attachment wounds, and recurring patterns, helping you build healthier responses, strengthen emotional connections, and create lasting change over time.

DBT & Somatic Groups

Wise Mind, Wiser Body (adults, 20 weeks) and Adaptable (teens 16–18, 15 weeks) combine DBT skills training with polyvagal-informed nervous system work — available in person and virtually. These groups support emotional growth but are not a substitute for individual therapy.

What to Expect

Your First Session & How We Work Together

I have chosen to operate as an out-of-network provider to prioritize your privacy and the quality of your care:

  • No Mandatory Diagnosis: Insurance companies typically require a formal mental health diagnosis to authorize payment. In this practice, you are not a diagnosis, and we can work together without a permanent label on your medical record.
  • Complete Privacy: Private pay ensures that your treatment records and progress notes remain confidential between us, rather than being shared with insurance auditors.
  • Personalized Care: We—not an insurance company—determine the frequency, duration, and type of therapy that is best for your unique healing journey.
(01)
Your First Therapy Experience & Path Forward

A collaborative exploration, not a clinical interrogation — we gently explore your experiences, challenges, and how your nervous system responds to stress. Together, we create a deeper understanding of your needs, patterns, and the path forward toward meaningful healing.

(02)
Understanding Your History & Goals

We explore your history, experiences, and personal goals to create a foundation that feels safe, grounded, and aligned with the deeper bottom-up changes you’re seeking. Together, we find the right therapeutic approach and make the process supportive and tailored to your healing journey.

(03)
Personalized, Out-of-Network Care

No mandatory diagnosis, complete confidentiality, and treatment shaped by you — not an insurance company. We offer a supportive, personalized approach with sliding scale options available and superbills provided for potential reimbursement.

(04)
Continuous, Personalized Support

Frequency, duration, and therapy type are tailored to your unique healing journey and personal needs. Each session is thoughtfully designed around your goals, with regular check-ins to ensure your progress is supported, guided, and cared for every step of the way.

Common Questions

Answers to Your Mental Health Questions

Do you accept insurance?

No — this practice is out-of-network to protect your privacy and keep care personalized. I can provide a monthly superbill for potential reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits.

All major credit cards and HSA/FSA cards are accepted at time of service. Sliding scale available.

Adolescents and adults who are functioning day-to-day but feel overwhelmed, reactive, chronically stressed, or stuck in patterns insight hasn’t resolved.

What happens in the first session?

It’s a collaborative conversation, not an interrogation — mapping your challenges and how your nervous system responds to them, to build a plan aligned with your goals.

Yes — Wise Mind, Wiser Body (adults, 20 weeks) and Adaptable (teens 16–18, 15 weeks), both DBT + somatic/nervous-system based, in person or virtual.

Not always — active psychosis, severe substance dependence needing detox, court-mandated therapy, acute psychiatric crises, and primary treatment for compulsive sexual behavior fall outside this scope. Referrals to appropriate resources are provided.
